Hi! My name is Ashley, but you can call me Ash. Let’s start with the technical stuff, so we can move on to the good stuff.

I’m a licensed EA (Enrolled Agent), long story short, it means I really enjoy taxes, so the IRS gave me a credential for it. I used to work for a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) firm for several years – doing a range of professional tasks (i.e. taxes, government audits, bookkeeping & financial advising, payroll, you name it!). Now on to my why! My heart has always been guided toward helping people, and the most meaningful part of my job is advising and educating my clients. I decided to take my passion a step further by starting my own accounting firm and providing financial information to as many people as possible through our blog!

Better Than Yesterday, LLC accounting firm focuses on tax and financial services so that our clients can truly better their business and personal finances. Accounting definitely has my heart, but so does educating others. This is why I decided to start a financial blog to make professional information accessible to everyone. My goal is to combine my professional experience and education with my personal experiences to offer free education and resources. Which integrates perfectly with my accounting firm! My goal is to make complicated topics such as taxes, finances, and budgeting easy for everyone to understand.

With that being said, now’s probably a good time to explain the cartoon. As I said, the goal of the blog is to make complicated topics easy to understand. Rather than making boring videos of me talking to the camera, we decided a cartoon would be more entertaining. Because nobody’s going to learn if you don’t have their attention! On top of that, more scenarios can be provided with these cartoon videos, so you can actually visualize what I’m talking about!

The financial peace and freedom that comes with getting your money in order is truly liberating. I wish that I could pass this feeling along to everyone. So, that’s what I’m trying to do!!
